He has appeared in multiple Off-Broadway productions including Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Wise Guys, Jonathan Marc Sherman’s Clive, Neil Simon’s London Suite, Jason Robert Brown’s Songs For A New World and New York City Opera’s Candide directed by Hal Prince, and has been seen in regional theaters across the country from Los Angeles to Boston, Atlanta to Washington D.C. Brooks can be seen as Stanley James in the Showtime series “UnCoupled” and heard as the voice of Gore Vidal in Ethan Hawke’s The Last Movie Stars on MAX. Other recent television appearances include “The Good Lord Bird” (Showtime), “Tales Of The City” (Netflix), “I Love You More” (Amazon), and as Judge Greg Brochard in both “The Good Wife” and “The Good Fight” (CBS). On film he was in Nora Ephron’s Julie and Julia, can be seen in Tim Federle’s recent feature Better Nate Than Ever, William Parker’s Atrabilious, and Richard LaGravenese’s A Family Affair.

Krysta Rodriguez

Fans of NBC’s “Smash” may remember her as the high-flying diva Ana Vargas in the original television series. Krysta starred as Cinderella in the Broadway revival of Into the Woods and in The Collaboration for Manhattan Theatre Club. Most recently, she took on the role of Rosie Alvarez in the Kennedy Center/Broadway Center Stage production of Bye Bye Birdie. Rodriguez co-starred in the Emmy Award winning Netflix/Ryan Murphy limited series “Halston” as the iconic entertainer Liza Minnelli, which marked her return to the platform after starring in “Daybreak” with Matthew Broderick. Krysta’s long list of television roles include the NBC series “Trial & Error” and “Smash.” Other credits include recurring roles on “Younger,” “Married,” “Gossip Girl,” “Quantico”, “Chasing Life”, “The Mysteries of Laura” and “Indoor Boys” (Indie Series Award). Rodriguez’s theater résumé includes Theresa Rebeck’s play Seared at MCC (Outer Critics Circle Award), in a role she originated at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Rodriguez took on the role of famous animated princess Megara in Disney’s premiere stage adaptation Hercules as part of The Public Theater’s PublicWorks program. Broadway credits include: Ilse in the Deaf West revival of Spring AwakeningFirst Date and original companies of The Addams Family, In the Heights, Spring Awakening, A Chorus Line (Revival) and Good Vibrations. John Behlmann

John was most recently on Broadway in the Tony Award-nominated musical comedy Shucked, originating the role of con man Gordy Jackson for which he earned a Grammy nomination. Prior to that, John received an Outer Critics Nomination playing Max Van Horn in the Tony Award-winning musical Tootsie. He also appeared on Broadway in Joshua Harmon’s play Significant Other, starred in the New York production of The 39 Steps, and made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning play revival of Journey’s End. On film, he last appeared with Jon Hamm in the Miramax feature Confess, Fletch directed by Greg Mottola, and with Ben Schwartz in indie feature Standing Up, Falling Down, having the distinct honor of punching both leading men in the face on camera. On television, he can be seen in Season 2 of “Elsbeth” and HBO’sThe Gilded Age.” He recurred as Agent Adams in “Riverdale” and as Ann Dowd’s FBI partner in “Good Behavior,” and has guested on “And Just Like That,” “Madam Secretary,” “Instinct,” “Odd Mom Out,” “Blue Bloods,” and “The Good Wife.” Equally at home in comedy or drama, on stage or screen, John has been fortunate to work in a wide array of mediums and styles. He’s been in off-Broadway plays and musicals for many of New York’s most respected theater companies including Lincoln Center, Ars Nova, Roundabout, MTC, MCC, Encores, and the Civilians. He’s had an extensive commercial career and has been a voice actor for over a decade, most notably in the World Of Warcraft franchise. John is also a photographer, proud husband and father, and one-time trapeze artist.

Kristine Nielsen

Kristine was just in Joseph Schuman and Austin Stark’s comedy Coup! which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and she was seen in Carol McCann’s The Suit, competing in many short film festivals around the country and receiving some award recognition. She is currently a regular in Julian Fellowes’ “The Gilded Age” as Mrs. Bauer. She will next be seen in Peacock’s “Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy.” She is a two-time Tony Award nominee for Taylor Mac’s Gary, A Sequel To Titus Andronicus and for Christopher Durang’s Vanya, Sonia, Masha and Spike. For VSMS, she was awarded the Outer Critics Circle Award. Additional Broadway credits include The Iceman Cometh, Present Laughter, You Can’t Take It With You, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, The Green Bird, and others. She has appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions at the NY Shakespeare Festival, Playwrights Horizons, MTC, Roundabout, Second Stage, the Promenade, Signature, NY Theatre Workshop, and Lincoln Center. She is a recipient of two Obie Awards, a Drama Desk nomination, and many Drama League nominations. She has worked extensively in regional theatres throughout the US. She attended the Yale School of Drama and Northwestern University.

Rick Elice

Book

Rick is a four-time Tony Award nominee. His work can currently be seen on Broadway in Water for Elephants, for which he was a 2024 Tony Award nominee for Best Book of a Musical. Jersey Boys, Rick’s first Broadway credit, co-authored with Marshall Brickman, won the Tony Award, the Grammy Award and the Olivier Award for Best Musical, and entered the record books as the twelfth longest-running show in Broadway history. With Marshall Brickman and Andrew Lippa, he wrote The Addams Family, starring Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth. For the past eight years, The Addams Family has topped the list of the most-licensed musicals in North America. Rick’s first play, Peter and the Starcatcher, won five 2012 Tony Awards. For the past seven years, the play has been among the top ten most-produced plays in North America. Also for Broadway, Rick wrote the two-time Tony-winning The Cher Show, directed by Jason Moore. In addition to Smash, Rick is teaming with Tony Award-winner Bob Martin on The Princess Bride. Bob Martin

Book

Bob works as a writer, performer, and producer in theatre, television, and film internationally. He is co-creator of the beloved musicals The Drowsy Chaperone, Elf, and The Prom, which have garnered critical acclaim and perennial productions worldwide. Mr. Martin has won a number of awards for his work including a Theatre World Award, Drama Desk and a Tony. In the Spring of 2025 Smash and Boop! will open on Broadway shortly followed by a third new musical, Millions, which will premiere at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta. Mr. Martin is also the co-creator of the acclaimed television series “Slings & Arrows.”

Marc Shaiman

Marc is an award-winning lyricist, composer, orchestrator and performer, who has successfully created music and lyrics for TV, films, recordings, and theater since entering show business at the age of 16 in 1976. Shaiman has been Oscar-nominated seven times (for Mary Poppins Returns, Sleepless In Seattle, Patch Adams, The First Wives Club, The American President, and South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut). He has received three Tony Award nominations (winning one for co-writing the score to Hairspray with co-lyricist Scott Wittman), eight Grammy Award nominations (winning two for The Original Cast Recordings of Hairspray and Some Like It Hot), twelve Emmy Award nominations (winning two, for his work on Billy Crystal’s Academy Award hosting and for co-writing, with Wittman and Pasek & Paul, “Which Of The Pickwick Triplets Did It?” for “Only Murders In The Building”), two Golden Globe nominations (for the song The Star, co-written with Mariah Carey) and his score for Mary Poppins Returns), and two BAFTA nominations (for Sleepless In Seattle and Mary Poppins Returns). Marc was recently honored with the Ambassador Award by the Society of Composers and Lyricists in December 2018, the Icon Award at the Guild of Music Supervisors Awards in February 2019, and an Outstanding Career Achievement Award from The Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

Scott Wittman

Lyrics

Tony, Emmy, two-time Grammy, and Olivier Award-winning lyricist, director, writer, and conceiver, Scott Wittman co-wrote the lyrics for the hit musical Hairspray (Tony, Grammy, Olivier Award winner) with creative partner Marc Shaiman. Wittman also served as an executive producer on the hit film starring John Travolta. Scott was nominated for a Golden Globe, Grammy, and two Emmy Awards for the original songs on NBC’s musical drama “Smash.” While working on the show, he co-wrote songs for Jennifer Hudson, Uma Thurman, Bernadette Peters, and Liza Minnelli. Shaiman and Wittman’s original score for the Marilyn Monroe musical Bombshell was released by Sony Records. Scott’s Broadway credits include Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, which he also directed, Catch Me If You Can (Tony nom. for Best Musical), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Broadway and the West End and Some Like it Hot (13 Tony nominations). Scott has created and directed two Broadway shows, and four sold-out Carnegie Hall concerts for Patti LuPone. He has created and directed solo shows for Christine Ebersole and Nathan Lane, as well as writing for Bette Midler’s 2015 Divine Intervention World Tour. Off-Broadway, he conceived and directed Jukebox Jackie starring Justin Vivian Bond, Bridget Everett, and Cole Escola at LaMama, also, Rockbottom with Bridget Everett at The Public Theatre. Scott also co-wrote the score to Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns starring Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Meryl Streep. Directed by Rob Marshall. The song, “The Place Were Lost Things Go” was nominated for an Oscar. He recently joined the Marvel Universe with his song cowritten with Marc Shaiman for Rodgers: The Musical in “Hawkeye.” Also, for “Only Murders in the Building,” he co-wrote “The Pickwick Triplets” for Steve Martin which recently won an Emmy. The notorious and legendary Downtown shows he directed are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Susan Stroman

Director

A five-time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer, her work has also been honored with Olivier, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Lucille Lortel and a record six Astaire Awards. She directed and choreographed The Producers, winner of a record-making 12 Tony Awards, including Best Direction and Best Choreography. She co-created, directed, and choreographed the Tony Award winning musical Contact for Lincoln Center Theater, which was honored with an Emmy Award for Live from Lincoln Center. She directed and choreographed the musical The Scottsboro Boys on Broadway and in London’s West End, where it was honored with the Evening Standard Award for Best Musical. She recently directed and choreographed the critically acclaimed London West End revival of Crazy for You. Her most recent Broadway productions are the new Delia Ephron play Left on Tenth, the new Kander and Ebb musical New York, New York, and the Selina Fillinger play POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive. Joshua Bergasse

Choreographer

Joshua started his career as a young dancer on Broadway and then transitioned to choreography and direction. He is the Emmy Award-winning choreographer for NBC’s musical drama “Smash.” Joshua received a Tony nomination as well as the Astaire Award for his choreography of the Broadway revival, On The Town. He also choreographed the Broadway musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory produced by Warner Bros, as well as the revival of Gigi on Broadway. Joshua directed and choreographed the New York premiere of the re-imagined production of Smokey Joe’s Café. He also choreographed Sweet Charity starring Sutton Foster, winning the prestigious Chita Rivera Award for excellence in choreography. For Encores! at New York City Center Josh directed and choreographed I Married An Angel starring NYCB Principal Sara Mearns. Other Encores! include Little Me; It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane, It’s Superman!; The Golden Apple; and Annie Get Your Gun. Stephen is the recipient of two Tony Awards for Best Orchestrations for The Book of Mormon and Kinky Boots and two Grammy Awards for Best Musical Theater album for their original cast recordings. For Broadway and worldwide productions, he has served as Music Supervisor/Arranger and/or Orchestrator for Frozen; Kinky Boots; The Book of Mormon; Wicked; Avenue Q, All Shook Up, 9 to 5: The Musical and Off-Broadway’s tick, tick…BOOM!. Stephen was the vocal arranger/conductor for the Disney films Frozen and Frozen 2. His TV credits include music director of the 2015 Oscars (Emmy nomination), Annie Live! and The Wiz Live! (NBC), RENT Live! (FOX), “A Very WICKED Halloween Special” (NBC), and “Into the Unknown: The Making of Frozen 2” (Disney Plus).
